Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actress who gained notoriety in the late 90s as Hugh Grant's lover, was a former English model. When Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral became a worldwide sensation, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. This dress received instant public attention. The relationship she has had with Estee Lauder has been the highlight of Hurley's career. Hurley was recruited by Estee Lauder to be their first model when she was at the age of 29. Since 1995, she's been used as a face for products from the company, including Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Most famously, she is known for her role as Vanessa Kensington, in the popular spy-films International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley is currently a model and designer for an exclusive beachwear collection. Perry's first efforts to be popular were not successful. Two different labels signed her but ended her contract before she'd made any music. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The title track is a fun and humorous track that garnered only a small amount of interest from the media. The song I Didn't Kiss a Girl was a more bold ode to sexism that was accompanied by a hard edged electro-pop rhythm. It quickly sparked controversy when some critics accused the song for encouraging sexual relations between gays and lesbians as well as others argued that the sexually explicit scene that it depicted was a harbinger for the fantasies of males about female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl became the number one hit in the world because of its mix of titillation with a polished melody. The song also contributed to the sales for her 2008 album The One of the Boys. Along with its lively sharp-tongued, bouncy hit single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of the songs Perry recorded herself later registered sales of more than three million copies in the United States.
